Insurance

The best time to confirm your insurance coverage for anesthesia providers is before your procedure. Did you know your insurance company might consider your anesthesia provider to be out-of-network even if your surgeon and medical facility are in-network?

Read our FAQs to help you understand how insurance works for anesthesia and what you should know about insurance before your procedure.

Participating Insurance

Although we may participate with your insurance plan, you may still be responsible for a portion of the bill depending on the terms of your insurance plan policy. Participating with an insurance plan simply means that the healthcare provider and insurance company have an agreement for the insurance company to reimburse your healthcare provider for some portion of medical care services you receive. Your co-payments, deductibles, and other patient payment responsibility will be specified by your insurance plan and/or its third-party processor. You may be able to dispute the manner in which your claims are processed by your insurance carrier by accessing reconsideration forms on the carrier’s website or utilizing another dispute resolution process provided by your carrier.

*For select states, we provide anesthesia services as “North American Partners in Anesthesia” and as “American Anesthesiology”.
