Anesthesia Quality Data Collection & Reporting
NAPA’s Quality program exists under NAPA’s Patient Safety Organization (PSO), the NAPA Anesthesia Patient Safety Institute (NAPSI). Established in 2019 and federally listed by the Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research (AHRQ), NAPSI empowers providers to confidently engage in patient safety and quality improvement activities and applies the highest level of federal legal protections for data collected under the PSO.
We promote and support high-quality anesthesia care through comprehensive quality data collection for every anesthetic case. Our process includes:
- Seamless quality data reporting via a dedicated mobile app, Epic integration, or a paper form
- Patient anesthesia experience tracking through a specialized survey
Additionally, we support CMS-mandated quality data collection and reporting via the MIPS track of the Quality Payment Program (QPP), ensuring compliance and optimizing performance for eligible clinicians.
3 Options for Quality Support
NAPA Managed Services offers three tiers of its Quality Improvement (QI) program for managed services clients, depending on the client’s interest in engaging with the PSO. For clients with an existing PSO (or clients who opt for PSO involvement via NAPSI), option 1 (our most comprehensive Quality option package) is available. For clients who prefer to work without the support of a PSO, options 2 and 3 are available.

Option 1 (*PSO required)

- NAPSI PSO adverse event reporting and analysis system
- Zone Quality Committee participation
- Quarterly Key Performance Indicators for individual clinicians
- Care for the Caregiver Program (Peer Support)
- Dedicated QI team support, including quality reports quarterly/biannually/ad hoc, routine clinical quality updates, regulatory readiness checklist access, etc.

- MIPS data collection and submission for eligible providers using NAPA selected measures
