Clavio Ascari, MD

Chief Clinical Officer

Clavio Ascari, MD, serves as NAPA’s Chief Clinical Officer. He has been with the organization since 2014, and has held various regional leadership roles in that time, including Area VP for the Central Virginia market and most recently, Vice President of Clinical Services for NAPA’s South Region.

Prior to joining NAPA, he held multiple leadership roles within his private practice group in Richmond, VA. His leadership responsibilities have progressively escalated over the past 20 years. During this time he has served as the Chairman of several hospitals as well as the Vice President of his anesthesia group.

Dr. Ascari obtained his medical degree and completed his residency in anesthesia at the University of Virginia.

He has been an active member of a multitude of hospital committees and served as chair of credentials over a hospital system for many years. He was also a member of the medical executive committee in the same hospital system for more than seven years.

Outside of work, Dr. Ascari enjoys spending time with family, attending kids’ activities, and traveling.
