NAPA’s approach to clinical quality and patient safety has been proactive and forward-thinking for decades. Within the culture of safety provided by our own Patient Safety Organization, we have developed patient safety programs that afford us the ability to demonstrate that we are making an impactful difference in the care of our patients.

We collect data—a lot of data—from millions of anesthetic cases annually across our clinical network. Our business intelligence tools provide a platform for identifying trends and opportunities, which result in our award-winning patient safety initiatives. By consistently measuring and assessing our data inputs and analyses, developing robust programs, and promoting best practices, we are bending the curve to create an environment where our anesthesia clinicians have the tools and education to reduce human error.
Our feedback mechanisms for our clinical leaders and clinicians support ongoing benchmarking of key performance indicators for clinicians to enhance their patient experience and surgeon satisfaction ratings. Our clinicians are accountable for participating in this data collection and then putting the knowledge to use for continuous improvement in all areas of their local facilities.
